The Department, in line with what is described and approved in the "Three-Year Strategic Plan for Teaching, Research, and Third Mission/Social Impact of DipMeC (2024-2026)," builds upon the previous " Three-Year Research and Third Mission Development Plan: 2021-2023" (Link to the document).

 

Research and Third Mission ojectives

    • Consolidating existing excellences and incentivizing faculty to improve the quality and visibility of scientific production;
    • Enhancing the organizational-management model of Research and Third Mission (RIC-TM), established in the 2021-2023 triennium, to provide administrative support, facilitate funding research, and assist in their application;
    • Optimizing goal monitoring by simplifying the transmission and reception of necessary information to ensure complete and accurate recording of all Research and Third Mission (RIC-TM) activities, ensuring their quality;
    • Developing innovative information detection/monitoring/reporting systems and website revision to enhance Department visibility and foster exchange relationships with research entities and companies;
    • Enhancing internationalization, intra- and inter-departmental technical-scientific aggregation and sharing to achieve excellence in research and innovation, and facilitate research funding attraction; Increasing instrumental potential towards the most innovative and advanced technologies;
    • Increasing instrumental potential towards the most innovative and advanced technologies;
    • Promoting actions to facilitate technology transfer to local businesses; Strengthening existing public/private collaborations and promoting new ones;

    • Conducting clinical trials and pre-clinical and clinical research projects that directly impact health and well-being outcomes of citizens and meet socio-healthcare and economic needs of the Region;
    • Engaging Department researchers in conducting training courses for healthcare personnel;
    • Organizing and participating in Public Engagement projects and scientific research dissemination, non-academic public events, and health promotion initiatives;
    • Enhancing and promoting school engagement activities.
