The Department of Medicine and Surgery, also in collaboration with institutions, associations, and businesses, is actively engaged in disseminating research findings, preventing and protecting public health, and improving patient well-being through numerous public engagement activities (activities organized institutionally by the Department without profit for educational, cultural, and societal development purposes, aimed at a non-academic audience) and initiatives for health protection in line with the Agenda 2030 (Sustainable Development Goal 3). Numerous initiatives aimed at protecting public health have been promoted with active involvement from the community, patients, patient associations, and their families.
